So, the consensus is definitely to get an interim job before I try to break into the games industry.  It's clear to me now that I'm not qualified yet.  I've been applying to various graphic design jobs, but most of them involve an expensive commute.  I'd much rather get something close to home and part-time, so that I can still have time and energy to better myself.  I just hope I can get a job that I'll enjoy somewhat!  I'll most likely put off getting any job at all as long as I can.  I'm still milking the state for unemployment, but I know that won't last forever.  I picked up a how-to book for Adobe Flash, and started playing around with

Hello, anyone who happens upon this journal!  I need some input.  I'm at a point where I need to ask for help, so here it is.
